Johnson’s is a trusted brand I know from my childhood and I’ve
used it through to adulthood. Until discovering the Skin Perfecting Oil, their baby
powder was my favorite product. I first
learnt about the Skin Perfecting Oil when I attended BritMums Live 2012. Once I
was assured that I could use it during my pregnancy, I was anxious to obtain a
bottle. I need not have worried. I received a bottle in conference bag. I began
to use the oil about three months into my current pregnancy. I was thoroughly pleased
with it and so I decided to write a product review. I’m now 6 months pregnant
and I could not be happier with the results I've received from Johnson’s SkinPerfecting Oil.
I’ve always taken good care of my skin. Even before
pregnancy I used to cream myself from face to little toe. So, it’s only natural
I’d continue to do so during pregnancy. However, during my first pregnancy I
tended to use natural oils on my tummy area (e.g. Sweet almond oil, Wheat germ
oil and the like). I used whatever I had at home, including pure Shea butter.
However, I never bought anything especially for bump moisture, or stretch marks
reduction. My aim at the time was making my bump feel as comfortable as
possible. I was not bothered if I did develop stretch marks.
I did eventually develop stretch marks in the late stages of
my first pregnancy, but not bad. The marks were located below the bikini line
area and my lower hips. I could live with that. Hey, tankinis are cool too. I’m
now in the midst of my second pregnancy. I think my bump is bigger this time
around. While I’m still not fussed about stretch marks, I wouldn’t want the
ones I have to get worse. Thankfully, they seem to have been stopped in their
tracks.
I've been using Johnson’s Skin Perfecting Oil for three
months and I’m happy with the results. The images below show my bump after two
months (5mths pregnant) use and after three months (six months pregnant).

I
intend to post a follow up review after I’ve had my baby. I like to be as
thorough as I can. I need to be certain for myself and my readers, that it’s
not due to the stretching of my bump that my existing marks have a better appearance.
The Johnson’s Skin Perfecting Oil formula combines Botanic Oils
and vitamin E to help nourish and improve skin’s elasticity. It contains: Rose
hip oil; Wheat germ oil, Soybean oil; Sweet almond oil and Blackcurrant Seed
oil. It has a lovely light fragrance, which I was glad for. During the early
stages of my pregnancy most strong and/or sweet smells made me feel sick. Thankfully,
Johnson’s Skin Perfecting Oil did not cause me any tummy upset. I found its fragrance
soothing. The oil is clear, light and absorbs quickly into the skin. As for results, it’s clinically proven that after 8 weeks there was
an improvement in the length and width of the stretch marks and skin elasticity.
At this juncture I'm happy to can confirm the findings, from my personal experience.
